About Bilkom



Bilkom started its activities in the IT sector in 1984 and joined the Koç Bilgi Group in 2000 ( www.kocbilgi.com and www.koc.com.tr ), successfully implementing its value-added distribution strategy with a mobility-focused portfolio offering digital lifestyle products. Bilkom employees adopted change and development as a principle within the company’s simple organizational structure.

In parallel to the “Value Added Distributor” strategy, Bilkom successfully manages the marketing, sales, channel development and after-sales service activities of globally leading brands in corresponding sectors throughout Turkey.

Within this scope, the company has established active access to various segments, such as education, D&P, audio/visual, photography, and medical through its corporate and retail channel, in order to introduce its products to customers and provide after-sales technical services through its authorized service centers all over Turkey.

Bilkom accesses businesses through its system integrators, Business Partners and Solution Partners. It delivers its products to consumers through Apple Premium Reseller stores, Retail Chains, Online Stores and the Bilkom eStore.

For each channel, Bilkom continuously monitors and enhances customer satisfaction at its contact points and at the same time, differentiates itself and grows.


Apple
Bilkom has been marketing and selling Apple products, including computers and iPods, for 25 years. It is the only Apple-authorized dealer in Turkey. In 2008, iPod sales grew by 26% in quantity, while Mac desktops and laptops sales grew by more than 4 times than the sector itself, reaching the highest sales totals in the last 10 years. We are proud in achieving this success with our channel business partners.

  • Apple Premium Reseller (APR): Presents Apple products to all of Turkey with a total of 11 stores in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa and Gaziantep. All APR’s are opened by investors and they are able to sell all the branded products in Bilkom’s portfolio to our end-consumers.
  • IT retail chain stores: Apple products are available at more than 700 sales points all over Turkey.

  • Business Partners: Currently there are 60-plus business partners that are specialized in fields such as education, D&P, audio/visual, photography and medical; and the number is increasing fast.
  • Through its on-line store, consumers all over can Turkey access Bilkom and its wide Apple distribution chain.

Wacom
Founded in 1983, Japan-based company Wacom is the leader in the pen tablets sector with in 2008 with sales of its +650 Mio. It is the global pen tablet technology development pioneer across Mac and PC platforms. Its products, such as Bamboo, Intuos and Cintiq, are commonly used in sectors such as digital arts, fashion, architecture, graphic and industrial design, film and special effects.
